The Onyx A/M-24 Inflatable Life Vest Rearming Kit (item #135200-701-999-12) is designed for Onyx automatic/manual life jackets, models #1320 and #1321. The kit contains all the necessary components to restore your vest's inflation capability after deployment.
Kit contents
The rearming kit for the automatic/manual A/M-24 life jacket includes:
- A 24-gram CO2 cylinder with 1/2-inch thread
-
A green indicator clip
-
A yellow water-soluble bobbin
Rearming process
The general process for rearming your A/M-24 vest is as follows:
- Deflate the vest by opening the oral inflation tube and squeezing out any remaining air.
- Remove the old CO2 cylinder by unscrewing it counterclockwise. The deployed cylinder will have a puncture hole in the base.
- Replace the bobbin. Unscrew the clear or gray cap from the inflator mechanism. Remove the old yellow bobbin and discard it. Check that the mechanism is clean and dry.
- Install the new bobbin, white side down, and make sure it aligns with the ridges in the housing. Screw the cap back on firmly until it clicks or seats completely.
- Screw in the new CO2 cylinder clockwise until it is tight. Do not overtighten.
- Check the service indicators. After rearming, the indicator window should show green, confirming that the vest is properly armed.
-
Repack the vest by following the folding instructions printed on the inflation chamber.
