A little something about me...

Hello there!

This is my first blog post, hoping to share some insight of me and where I come from.  As a child I had a love / hate relationship with fishing.  The majority of my family have always been amazing outdoorsman and fisherman.  Then there is me...  

My memories of fishing as a child consists of a walkman I got for Christmas at age 10 yrs old finding its way down the depths of Grand Lake because I was so excited to have a bite.  Needless to say, I didn't take home the walkman or the fish.  However, my Grandpa Carl continued to tease me over the years that he could still hear Garth Brooks playing by the dock and that I helped make fish love country music.

For most things, I have been pretty good and felt like I have mastered a few of them.  However, with fishing I have always been moderate at best.  My love for fishing has never wavered though. Fishing has been an opportunity to spend time with others, whether it be family or friends.

As I have gotten older, my passion for fishing has evolved.  I enjoy the simple things like being surrounded by nature and appreciating how beautiful it can be.  I love how quiet it can be or the laughter after a day of fishing and telling stories with friends.  

Maybe it is a Christmas thing, but a couple years ago during the holidays my brother and I were talking and commented on how we wish there was someone that had the same enthusiasm that we did and was there to help the local fishing community.  Those conversations led to a lot of research, a trip to ICast, many conversations (good and bad), and a drive to succeed.  Finally, a year and a half later we are excited to "WELCOME" you and start what we hope is a long relationship helping others.
